In resent years Esther has been working closely with Amanda Hill from IDS Grishko UK, (the importers of Grishko pointe shoes into the UK). Amanda  is greatly interested in training her stockists in the art of Point Shoe Fitting. Esther and Amanda have recently put together a special one-day seminar for pointe shoe fitters.

During these lectures and the discussions arising from the seminars, it became clear that we should run these courses also for teachers. Unfortunately many teachers are not aware that young feet are unnecessarily at risk and could be saved simply by looking at the basic anatomy and the development of a young dancer. With that in mind, reconsidering basic principals of preparation and commencing of pointe work would ultimately make a world of difference, save unnecessary damage to young feet and prolong the career of the professional dancers.
